ARTOIS BOCK
1892 was the year when master brewer Edmund Willems guided the development of a somewhat dark and handsome beer. Refreshingly different to the abundant blonde beers of the time, Bock was considered brave, in that it was malty without being bitter. Having first been served at Leuven University, Bock was a tonic that fuelled many heated debates around campus. From those early days, Bock was affectionately known as the "Professor".
Even today, the Professor is renowned for its character and depth of flavour. With an ABV of 6.2%, this gorgeous amber beer is full of rich complexities. Despite being bottom fermented like a lager, it exhibits many characteristics of an ale and is best served at 3-5°C.
